Annual Coombe Keynes 10K Race

Our biggest event of the year is the Coombe Keynes 10K, which the Trust started in 2015.

The event is usually held in mid June and is part of the Purbeck Trail Series. We aim to combine a friendly village event with a trail race on private, estate trails not normally open to the public. It’s a scenic, hilly course wholly within the historic Lulworth Estate. From tracks on chalk downland to woodland paths, there is outstanding scenery throughout the race’s 10km length.

Each year we welcome seasoned club racers as well as fun-runners and 10k first-timers. The village turns out in force to marshal the race as well as serving bacon sandwiches, cups of tea and homemade cake to hungry runners and their families.
